Community Therapy Services is a well-respected and long-standing (36+ years) multidisciplinary pediatric outpatient therapy company with clinic locations in St. Charles and Roselle, IL. Our services include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy provided in our clinics, at schools, and in the home.

Our therapists are the most important part of our team. Join us in treating children birth to 21 with various diagnoses, including articulation and phonological disorders, oral motor disorders, feeding disorders, autism spectrum disorders, apraxia, expressive language delays/disorders, etc.

Join our dynamic team by building a full or part-time caseload of pediatric clients from birth to 21 years of age. Work in our pediatric clinic, provide in-home services to children birth to three, or follow an interest by providing contractual services in public, private, and charter school settings.

Important Notes:

· Typically, our therapists work both in school contracts and in our clinics

· School contracts are filled based on need, therapist preference/skills, and location

· Most school contracts are for the entire school year and may include the extended school year

· Full-time clinic positions are rare

· We provide early intervention services, but it is not mandatory

Responsibilities:

· Diagnose and treat a variety of speech and language disorders

· Identify treatment options and develop child-specific treatment plans

· Knowledge of and ability to conduct standardized testing specific to a pediatric population

· Participate in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students and develop, monitor, and report on goals

· Provide speech and language services using various models (e.g., integrated therapy, small group, 1:1 direct service, etc.) when appropriate to minimize the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success.

· Utilize and make recommendations for technology and assistive technologies to facilitate student communication access.

· Communicate with parents, caregivers, and outside professionals (i.e., teachers, other providers, etc.)

· Complete daily documentation and billing

· Complete re-evaluations and other documentation promptly

· Attend quarterly speech and language team meetings

· Ability to build rapport with patients and their families

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Collaborate with PTs and OTs on the team to expand and increase knowledge and skills using Evidence-Based Practices

Qualifications:

  • State (IL) SLP-CCC licensure required
  • Illinois PEL (teaching certification) required
  • Clinical Fellows welcome

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Additional Preferences:

  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Flexibility. Must be able to work some afternoons and early evenings during the week.
